John B. Payne, Jr., Attorney
|
first established his practice in Wyandotte in 1983, moving to Dearborn in 1985. The practice initially was concentrated on appellate and administrative matters. It was expanded into a full-service general practice and litigation firm in 1988, when John received his LL.M. in Taxation. The firm now handles a wide range of legal services. Although it is a solo practice, highly qualified legal paraprofessionals assist the attorney, and several accountants have a continuing relationship to the firm. The firm encourages continuing professional development for all employees and has adopted the Michigan State Bar Pro Bono Standard. The firm has a sliding fee scale based on ability to pay for Medicaid planning for nursing home patients and other low-income persons. John frequently lectures on estate planning and other topics to groups interested in legal issues. |
